Another resonate post. So useful.

It’s good to remind ourselves to be kind and forgive ourselves for those times when we know the intervention but can’t reach for it in that moment; the times when we revert to our animal responses.

I’m glad you didn’t bin the yoga that day… it might only seem like a small thing, but it’s actually huge to have a time out.

You are so wise!!

Thanks, Barrie. That's so true. I used to to knock exercise off my to do list whenever I had a time crunch. Always an optional extra, I didn't understand how essential it is. We are animals after all. You're a good role model for that.

This resonates for me. The cobra pit is such a powerful metaphor.

I was also interested that you mentioned getting out coloured pens/pencils. What you created looked very like neurographica. An autistic friend has trained in this and we've done quite a bit together. I love it - the use of colour, the freedom, the understanding it brings.

I hope things calm down for you with the remortgage out of the way. (I was a personal finance journalist in a previous life, so I know how stressful that stuff can be.)
