A warm welcome to this nurturing, creative community

If the name Self-Centred made you pause – good. That’s usually the sign you’re in the right place.

Self-Centring isn’t about selfishness. It’s what happens when you stop being so relentlessly available to everyone else that you end up disappearing from your own life. If you’ve spent years trying to anticipate everyone’s needs and losing yourself in the process, this was built with you in mind.

I’m Kate – creative wellbeing practitioner specialising in therapeutic writing, founder of Compassion Journalling, still unlearning a lifetime of over-giving.

What this IS

A warm, nurturing, creative community – writing and reflection, alone and together – that helps you build self-trust on and off the page. It’s not therapy, and it’s definitely not another thing to get right. Just a regular practice of coming home to yourself.

If something here lands, I’d love to know – hit reply, leave a comment, or subscribe. The essays stay free for everyone; hearing from you is how I know they’re landing, and it’s what keeps me writing them.
