The Compassion Circle is coming to Self-Centred
A spacious, creative circle for deepening the compassionate voice through writing.
Alongside my signature two-pen journalling practice, we’ll explore reflective tools and creative practices that harness our internal wisdom and the self-trust to guide ourselves with compassion.
For every subscriber
I’ll write regular essays on themes central to compassion-focused creative wellbeing that you to can read and engage with in your own time.
For subscribers wanting to practise these tools live and in greater depth
The Compassion Circle is a small, confidential group session for Self-Centred community members. Made up of course graduates, self-study participants and subscribers who have read the month's theme and want to go deeper. It offers regular practice space to customise the compassion journalling tools to suit your individual life and needs.
How it works
Monthly live session, 90 minutes. Date and time to be confirmed but likely starting September, 2nd Monday of each month, 7–8.30pm BST
One topic at a time – slower pace, with plenty of support and opportunities to share
Small group by design – intimacy is part of what makes it work
Community framework
Members hold confidentiality, mutual respect, and kindness. Sharing is invitational, never required. Attentive listening to ourselves and others is the only ask.
Ensuring it’s a good fit
Because this group sits on the therapeutic end of the writing-for-wellbeing spectrum, it’s invitation-only rather than open registration. If you’ve read a month’s theme and would like to join us to go deeper, email me at kate@self-centred.com for a quick chat to ensure it’s a good fit for you.
A self-study version – until now only available through Athabasca’s MA Writing the Self programme – will be available to purchase later this year.
This isn't therapy. If you think you need more personalised support, please reach out to a counsellor or your GP.
Any questions, please get in touch.
Warmest wishes, Kate
